TO THE BEST YEAR OF OUR LIVES!!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday to Brian, and Happy New Year!!!! I am so sorry it has been a while since we have blogged! The holiday season was filled with such joy. We started off the break by going to Red River with my family. We had a wonderful time and Brian’s head did not hold him back on the skis AT ALL!!!! He did wear a helmet and it was put to good use a few times! Besides getting tired quicker, skiing was just as it always has been for him…. A CRAZY BLAST!! Skiing comes so naturally for him and we look forward to making a few more trips this winter. We spent the next week celebrating Christmas with both of our families at several parties. We were constantly reminded of how lucky we are to be so blessed with LIFE and a life filled with Jesus!

Brian turned 27 on December 30th!!! His birthday is truly a celebration of LIFE!! He has endured so much more than most 27 year olds, and he has done it with such faith and determination!! Marshi had a wonderful dinner for him and we were able to celebrate with both of our families! We look forward to MANY MANY more birthday celebrations!

The New Year has already brought a challenge Brian’s way. Unfortunately, the plate has not shifted back into place. If he does not have a hat on the plate and screw stick out of his head about a half an inch. So……It looks as if Brian will be going back to Zale for a 6th surgery sometime this spring. Dr. Mickey and Brian are working out the details of when it will all take place and they are working on getting a plastic surgeon in on the surgery as well. Although we are NOT excited about the surgery, Brian is so ready to have a smooth forehead and not have to worry about a screw coming, or as he likes to say, “a screw loose” hahah! We know that 2010 has so many BLESSINGS to come and we can't wait to see them!!

We have recently become more active in our church through joining a small group and working with the high school youth. It has already such a blessing for both of us! We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us! Thanks you so much for all of your continued prayers and support! We are so BLESSED!!! Please continue to keep Brian in your prayers and as his journey and fight continues!!!

God Bless,
Shea and Brian
