DailyLounge.com is a website featuring new content updated on a daily basis (hence the name) and designed to create reader engagement and comment. Posts are of a topical nature, but there are also evergreen content features that don’t have to be tied to current events. Whatever people are talking about or gets them talking – we want to cover it.
We’re looking for bloggers and online writers with experience, as well as those looking to gain experience and add to their clips. Basic knowledge of writing for the web is needed and interest/expertise in more than one of our topics of coverage is preferred.
The topics we need covering are:
--News & Current Events
--Entertainment
--Politics
--Beauty & Fashion
--Health & Fitness
--Home & Life
--Tech & gadgets
--Sports
Writers need to be able to:
--Write brief aggregate blog posts (summarized posts that link to news sites).
--Come up, research, and write posts featuring original thought and reporting.
--Work with editors to generate story ideas.
--Using social media to promote your work.
Payment is $10 – $20 per post and writers must earn $100 or more to receive payment – which is sent out once a month. If you’re interested in applying, please send over links to any previously published blog posts or articles, along with sample post ideas for your first 3-5 posts to Editor@dailyloung.com
