Pushing Green seeks experienced, creative and versatile contract writers to produce Green/eco focused content including how-to and informational articles, blog posts, product reviews, and profiles of environmentally conscious individuals and companies who are saving money by going green.
PG is an online community and resource that provides households with local information about green products, vendors, rebates, and other ways of lowering energy costs, as well as other green news and tips for living a more sustainable life.
This position requires an individual with a proven ability to research and transform information about energy efficient and environmentally responsible household products and services into easily understood prose for a variety of audiences.
Specific Job Skills and Requirements:
• Experience writing news or other editorial content
• Excellent understanding of how to write for web media
• Ability to write engaging copy for a sustainable living/development demographic
• Understanding of basic blogging and social media tools and trends
• Ability to work well under deadlines and deliver work on schedule, as agreed upon with the production team
• Creative, fun, and adaptable writing style that varies appropriately for each different project
• Committed to producing accurate and well-written communications

Location: SF Bay Area
Compensation: $30 per article of 300-500 words, $40 with a custom photograph
