Freelance job, fiction manuscript editing, payment: $2.25 per page (SF Bay)

To complete fiction editing on two novels (approx. 50,000 words each) and a third novel, in process. I prefer to select ONE editor for three books. Timeline is three books complete and published by January 2012.



Major focus on fiction mechanics. For example: taut dialogue, consistent characterization, lulls in plot and smooth transitions. Minor focus on spelling and grammatical typos. I'm NOT INTERESTED in a sole focus on copy- editor; grammar- spell checker; format- layout or cover art. Already have all of those covered. I can't afford and don't really need an expensive "ghost writer- book doctor". In exchange we can discuss adding your name as editor on my books and website.



Seeking an individual with a BA degree in English or Creative Writing. Computer literate in MS word using the highlighting tool. Two to four week maximum turnaround time. With review of a work sample - published or student assignment. One-time payment based on the fulfillment of contract terms. Face to face meeting and typed feedback editing notes. The rate of pay is $2.25 per page (50,000 / 300 X $2.25).
