We are a Northeast Cobb news website covering Marietta zip code 30066 seeking columnists for already existing features. As columnist you will write features about people and places in zip code 30066 only.



As columnist you need to be reliable and submit the article for your column by deadline. If you cannot complete your work due to illness, a death, or whatever reason, you MUST contact the Editor immediately so that another writer can cover for you.



Responsibilities: driving to interview and photograph people and places in zip code 30066, writing an article every week and submitting by deadline for your column(s), submitting your article into our website form and uploading pictures (easy).



Pay is $50 for each article and pictures by Paypal (pictures with a digital camera are mandatory). Your headshot and biography will appear with your column.



Here are the features that we have available:



All are on-going; weekly features.



1. Children's programs in 30066, Boy and Girl Scouts; featured weekly. You would profile one each week. Story (I'd give you list of questions to ask) with at least two pictures. $50

2. Volunteers in 30066; profile a volunteer every week. Article and pictures, $50. (I'd give you where to visit the volunteers and questions to ask).

3. Dog Park Chronicles -- Sweat Mountain dog park is a great place for conversation and opinions. Man-on-the-Street feature. You'd ask a new question of people each week. I'd give you the question. $50 for story and pictures.

4. The Art Place -- Mountain View -- weekly story about their programs, kids classes and camps, etc. Article and pictures $50.
