Submission Guidelines
Lucrezia Magazine is always on the lookout for quality er0tica, informative essays, articles, art, and focuses on a variety of themes. To avoid possible disappointment and/or possible frustration, please take time out to read the below guidelines, paying close attention to our General Housekeeping section but if you cannot be bothered reading our guidelines, don’t sweat it. Just click here for a short cut to the definition of an er0tic medium we do not want/like/desire. If you still cannot be bothered clicking that link, then type ‘Ikea Er0tica’ into Google. Ikea er0tica is what we tend to reject.
Please submit your work via Submishmash. Click on the tab underneath the Submission Guidelines tab to be redirected automatically to our online submission forms.
(Please note: If you submitted your work via Hey Publisher, we do have your work, but are phasing out Hey Publisher to make way for Submishmash as our primary submission form manager. You do not have to resubmit your work again. We have your work.)
Fiction
We seek scenery, characterization and dialogue; characters within a story interact with other characters, and stories are required to reflect this. We think er0tica: sass, pathos, action, motivation, humor, passion, joie de vivre, and s3nsuality. There are many more key words we can think of, but these are the essential ingredients we consider foremost. There is no limit to the ambience. In general, stories that engage a reader on a realistic level and have a life on their own. We are not looking for blog entries, or adult magazine styled ‘hot letters.’
Novel Excerpts:
We will consider novel excerpts. However as novels are previously published, we are unfortunately unable to pay for excerpts but are able to provide free promotion for authors who have novels and wish to submit chapter excerpts of their work.
Personal Essay
This section may be thought of as creative non-fiction. Each item is to contain a point or make some statement. Lucrezia isn’t shy, and does not err on the side of political correctness, but please keep in mind that we’re not aroused by libelous content. We won’t tolerate celebrity gossip or innuendo.
Articles/Reviews
A reviewer is required to have intimate knowledge of their topic (displaying their research skills), and consider audience first. Is the topic informative, useful or enlightening? We aren’t looking for ‘lite’ reviews. Due to the abundance of bloggers reviewing adult toys i.e. the Pleasurists site, we aren’t looking for s3x toy reviewers or if we choose to publish s3x toy reviews, they will be unpaid reviews.
General Housekeeping:
We don’t have many tab00s here and the tab00 section is here for either legal reasons or due to our own impatience regarding tedious er0tic stereotypes that make us feel like our brains are going to spill out of our eye sockets.
1. In most instances, we don’t accept previously published work. Please email us first.
2. We accept simultaneous submissions.
4. We’re not looking for BD SM or stories that revolve around a central theme of violence (that usually revolves around character traits rather than story plot).
5. We do not want read experimental grammars. If your story begins in a lower case letter and pays no heed to conventional grammar, it will be rejected immediately.
6. NO REPAIR MEN or ‘drop ins’. THIS IS PURE PORNO FODDER. REPAIR MEN INCLUDES: MECHANICS, PLUMBERS, COMPUTER TECHNICIANS, PAINTERS, TILERS.
Submission:
We have upgraded to e-submission forms. Please scroll up and use our online submission system.
Things to include in your submission: What your work represents (in the s3xual/er0tic sense) and why the subject interests you, so we can formulate a profile and article, and work with you, to display your work to its fullest advantage. Don’t send an email detailing your publication history, with links or examples. We need actual submissions that reflect a body of work: concepts, ideas, views, etc.
Payment
All quoted amounts are in US currency and will be paid within 60 days of publication.
Text submissions will be paid via Paypal.
