We're seeking a literate, grammar conscious writer for our niche blog. This is an ongoing gig, and we're looking to have permanent, long-term relationships with our writers. We are an established site, only seeking to fill a spot due to the loss of a writer. We will use Copyscape to verify that content is original.
Overview:
This is a relatively small job, but the right person may very well be given other internet based tasks in the future. Proper grammar is a must. Our blog is in the 'Google News' feed, and a high level of professionalism with regard to content and grammar is a must, no exceptions!
The requirements are either 1 post per week with compensation of $45 per month, or 2 posts per week with compensation of $90 per month. We're still sorting out our production needs. Hence the 1 OR 2 posts a week at this time. Posts must be a minimum of 450 words. There are no admin responsibilities for the writer. We only require that the articles be created in a common text editor such as Word, and you only need email the files to our senior writer for publication to our blog. We do have some parameters to follow for the articles, but we give our writers a lot of leeway, and encourage them to write in their own voice.
In case you are interested in this writing position, (and you must be if you've read this far) our niche is bamboo textiles/eco-friendly living type topics. However, we're completely fine with most article topics as long as you can find a way to bridge some aspect of it with the whole "eco-friendly"/"green" thing.
I can give you more specifics after you've contacted me.
Please don't send a resume! I'd much rather you just introduce yourself, provide any writing examples that you may have, and just tell me why you'd like this position. Use your own discretion to communicate your personality, creativity, and writing style. I'd love to see what makes your writing different, unique, stand out, etc. Also, if you would like to post a link to some of your work, that would be preferable to a bunch of attachments of your various pieces.
