We are looking for a few people who work in the dog industry (i.e. grooming, doggie day care, dog training, etc.) to author one or more 15-20 page chapters for an online dog training course.
We'll give you a detailed outline to follow. You will research and write on general information about your chosen topic(s), and include anecdotes about your personal experiences working with dogs. You will work closely with our course editors when submitting rough and final draft versions.
We will only consider applications that include ALL of the following:
1) Resume
2) Personal Bio written in third person, for use on our website if you are selected as an author (200 word max + photo of you)
3) 1-3 writing samples from blog, article, book, etc. (dog-related topic preferred, but not required)
In the body of the email, describe your professional career (past and current) in the dog industry, and indicate in which of the following areas you feel most qualified:
- Diet and healthcare
- Clicker training
- Correcting behavioral problems
- Training theories and equipment
- Grooming
- History & psychology of dogs
- Basic obedience training
