Free contest, Cramahe Township Library Poetry/ Short Story Competitions, top prize: $100 (Cramahe, Canada)

Come and use your IMAGINATION on paper and write a SHORT STORY OR POEM and enter it in THE TOWNSHIP of CRAMAHE PUBLIC LIBRARY Short Story / Poetry Competitions

Looking for something to do this summer? Cramahe Public Library has TWO short story/poetry competitions which we invite you to enter if you are a Cramahe resident.

• Junior Poetry / Short Story Competition
• Open Poetry / Short Story Competition

The first, the Junior Poetry/Short Story Competition is targeted at Elementary school aged children only. Any child from Kindergarten to Grade 8 can enter – see prizes below:

• 1st Prize = $100
• 2nd Prize = $50
• 3rd prize = $25

The second, the Open Poetry / Short Story Competition, is OPEN TO ALL AGES (provided they have not entered the Junior competition and are Cramahe residents).

• 1st Prize = $100
• 2nd Prize = $50
• 3rd prize = $25

The winning entries will be made available for circulation in our Colborne and Castleton library branches.

The entry Deadline is:- Tuesday August 2nd

Submit your entry to either Castleton or Colborne library in a clearly marked envelope, naming the competition you are entering with your name and contact details. Please ensure your name and contact details are legible. For the Junior competition you must submit your age, grade and school as well.

Results and prizes will be presented in Victoria Square at the“Music in the Square” programme: Thursday August 25th at 6.15pm.
