I am looking for a blog writer to add to my writing team. I have several clients that are looking for more writing to be done, so we need to expand our crew a bit. This is a long term, contract gig.
You will primarily be writing gardening, tree, shrub, plant and flower pieces. It's a definite plus if you have an interest and knowledge in these topics, but it's not a deal breaker if you don't. What is a MUST is that you produce UNIQUE copy! Those who rip off copy from others need not apply! Top notch spelling, grammar and punctuation skills are a absolute requirement.
There are deadlines, so you must be able to live by them. On average you will be paid $15 per 400-500 word piece. You will be writing product sales copy for plants that are for sale with this online garden center. There will additionally be blog posts on various topics, such as: weed killer, top flowing shrubs, cold weather gardening, etc. Your work must require minimal editing to be successful. If it requires heavy editing, then what you are paid will be less to compensate for the extra work on my part. Your writing style should be informative, friendly and have an ability to educate a novice gardener looking for the right plants for their landscape. There should be some flair and fun in your writing as well.
