San Diego Newsroom is seeking freelancers. SDNR is a nonprofit news website devoted to San Diego that focuses on local, state and national issues that impact the San Diego region. SDNR has a strong focus on local politics and environmental issues, though we post content in the following categories: Politics, Government, Cities & Communities, Business & Finance, Environment & Resources and Lifestyle & Sports.
Freelancers would contribute stories and photos to our website, and would be required to work on deadline.
Applicants should have a background in journalism and be able to provide at least two clips that demonstrate proficient knowledge of AP style and reporting/writing standards. Ideal freelancers must be knowledgeable about San Diego issues and pitch stories of interest to local readers, as well as work on assignment.
Rates are $20-$50 per article, depending on experience and length. Please email resumes and clips.
