Free contest, ACER Student Journalism Award 2011, top prize: $200 (Australia)

Overview

The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) is offering an award for excellence in an article relating to education for the second time in 2011.

Currently enrolled journalism and professional writing students across Australia are invited to enter.


In 2011 small cash prizes totalling $600 will again be awarded to the place getters ($300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place).

In addition the winning and short listed entries will be considered for publication in one of the magazines published by ACER Press – Teacher and Inside Teaching.

Applications are now open and close on 28th October 2011.

How to apply

Students must submit articles along with a completed entry form. You must obtain a signature from your lecturer to verify that you are a currently enrolled student and the article was submitted for assessment. Articles and completed entry forms must be submitted together. If you are sending in more than one entry you must complete a separate entry form for each. You may submit your entry by email to kruse@acer.edu.au attaching a copy of your article and a scanned copy of the completed entry form or by post to:
