Valley Leader Christmas Writing Contest

This coming Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. is the deadline for writers and poets to submit their stories and poems for an opportunity to win some prize money and have their creations published in the Valley Leader's special Christmas edition.

Or mail to: Christmas Writing Contest, P.O. Box 70, Carman, MB R0G 0J0 or dropped off at the Valley Leader office in Carman from Monday to Thursday, at 70 Main Street South.

All participants are reminded to identify themselves with name and address on their story and/or poem. Student entries should have their name, school and grade. Adult entries should also note it is for the adult category.

Festive Themes

Entries may cover any Christmas-related theme chosen by the storyteller or poet. Participants may also enter in both the story and poetry category.

Authors have a chance to win prize money ranging from $25 to $100 in the six categories.

The Valley Leader reserves the right to publish winning entries. Submissions must be the previously unpublished original work of the writer and manuscripts become the property of the Valley Leader.
