Free contest, Sixth Annual Charlotte Miller Simon Poetry Contest, top prize: $100 (Pennsylvania)

1st, 2nd 3rd place prizes will be awarded in all three Divisions.

1st prize: $100
2nd prize: $75
3rd prize: $50

Adult Division: 18 and over
Teen Division: 13 to 17 years old
Children’s Divisions: 6 to 12 years old

If your poem is selected as a prize winner, you are granting permission:

• To publish your work in a Library printed booklet.
• To read or have your poem read at the Library’s Poetry Celebration Award Ceremony.

Special Instructions for children aged 17 and younger

• All information must be legible.
• Please include your age under your name on your poem.
• Your registration form must have a parent’s or guardian’s signature to indicate approval.

Deadline

Your poem must be received at the Ardmore Library no later than 5:00 pm on January 21, 2011.

Entry Rules
• One original, unpublished poem per person and no more than one page (8-1/2" x 11").
• Submit theoriginal, signed poem and three blind copies. Please deliver or mail to the Ardmore Library, 108 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003.
• Poems must be typed (preferred) or written neatly.
• Submit a completed copy of the registration form with your poem. Registration forms are available at lmls.org and the Ardmore Library.
• Please keep a copy of your poem as we are unable to return the originals you submit. Award Ceremony S March 13, 2011 S 2:00 pm.

All participants and their families are invited to attend the Poetry Celebration Award Ceremony at the Board of Commissioner’s Meeting Room, second floor of the Lower Merion Township Building, 75 East Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore. Winners will be notified by telephone during the week of March 6, 2011.
