My Chicago personal injury law firm is looking for freelance writers to prepare articles and blog posts. Writers selected will be asked to submit 22 blog posts and 8 articles per month written in keyword-rich, but clear English. Compensation will be $25 per blog entry of 300-500 words and $30 per article of 400-800 words accepted by the firm for publication. Must submit a minimum of 6 pieces per week. You will be paid on a 1099 basis on the 15th of the month for work done the previous month (i.e., you will be paid June 15 for blogs/articles submitted and accepted during the month of May, even if they are not published until June). Firm will own all rights to materials published under the name of the firm or any lawyers working for the firm.

To apply, please submit a resume and appropriate writing sample. We do not need a formal cover letter, but the e-mail with your resume and writing sample should include any specific experience you wish to highlight involving personal injury law firms and more specifically nursing home abuse and neglect cases. We intend to hire three writers, all of whom will be assigned specific areas of law. Finalists for the position will be asked to complete a sample blog post based on a news story. Projected start date is April 1.

Submit resumes in Word 03 format with subject line “Personal injury writer position”.
