NYC Social Sports Club is a co-ed, adult recreational sports league in New York City. The mission of the company is to build a framework for new friendships in NYC, a place where a sense of community can often be hard to find. We do this year-round by producing fun and welcoming leagues with post-game socializing. Our players are adults (21+) from the boroughs of New York City and beyond. Altogether, we have 15,000+ players each year.

As the Club continues to grow, we are expanding our staff. We currently have an opening for a Photographer/Blogger for our Action Weekly blog.

Duties include:

- Attending one of NYC Social Sports Club’s sporting events once a week, as scheduled
- Taking Team Pictures on the opening night of the season
- Taking 25-60 quality action shots on each assignment
- Uploading low res pictures to Flickr, while turning in the high resolution files once a season via jump drive or CD.
- Writing Blog posts in Word Press about fun and exciting moments at each assignment.
- Engaging with the games and players to find crazy anecdotes and personalities to showcase.

Qualified applicants will:

- Own a working digital camera
- Have experience in taking pictures and writing for an audience
- Be smart, creative, extremely reliable, & thorough
- Have an affable demeanor and a can-do approach
- Have a proven track record of taking initiative and completing projects successfully and on time
- Understand the nuances of our business – that it is fun and we take it seriously

This is a part time position. Bloggers answer directly to the Action Weekly Editor. Pay starts at $50 per assignment. Please respond to this post with writing and photo samples.
