Would you like to submit your writing or photography to a start-up magazine?
I am personally starting a new magazine called 'Limelight.' I want the magazine to tackle some of the most relevant issues of todays society, but to address the issues with some charm, wit, charisma, and creative formatting.
I am welcoming:
--Non-fiction pieces about farming, environment, water, urban issues, food, obesity and diet, travel, economics, and labor issues. I encourage anecdotes and creativity in these non-fiction pieces, as to make them interesting and understandable to a broad readership.
--Images of anything involving landscapes, earth science, anthropology, current events, or just plain art itself.
If selected for publication, I can offer $25 per article over 500 words, and $10 per image. Hopefully the magazines success will also lead to some exposure and future contracts for all writers. I also welcome creative ad-ons like short blurbs, articles, or sections to add, and price of these will be negotiated if selected for publication.
I am accepting articles of all lengths, so feel free to write anything from a short poem to a feature length article (1000, 2000+ words).
