Freelance job, student journalist for Las Vegas conventions/ events, payment: $10 per piece

I'm looking for student journalists and others with journalistic training or experience to report on Las Vegas conventions and other local events. These will be 250-400 word pieces, some of which will appear on a local press club website. Must have good research skills and MUST be trainable--we might do things somewhat differently from what you've learned. Potential for better pay over time and/or potential internship, once you've shown you can write search engine optimized articles, are easy to work with, and have stuck with us for a while.

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Compensation: $10 plus byline
