Freelance job, web/ blog content writing, payment: $10-$20 per article (Minneapolis)

My business helps local Minneapolis companies increase their presence and profitability online - and I need a reliable and skilled writer to join my team.

Quality content development is a key aspect of our services and I have more content development work than I can handle.

I am looking for a freelance writer to create engaging, informative, and educational articles, blog posts, press releases, and webpage content. You will write on a variety of topics and must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. You may be required to research topics on your own. I can't stress enough how important it is you can write in a variety of styles on a number of topics.

I will provide you with a set of weekly tasks. An example of weekly tasks would be:

- Write one 500-word article with this title: "xx"
- Write one press-release about xx
- Write the webpage content for this topic
- Research and write 2 blog posts about xx
- Take these word docs and create 2 clearly-written articles from them

Some of the content you develop will be used to increase our client's search engine ranking. It's okay if you haven't written for search engines before, I am more than happy to teach you how to make an article/blog post "search engine friendly". It is a fairly simple concept to learn; and once you get it, you get it.

This is a contract position. You are paid on a per-project basis. This could absolutely turn into a monthly retained position or even a full-time position (if you're interested). I have no problem handing over all of my writing work, in fact I would prefer it. After we've worked together for a month or so, we will reevaluate and explore a monthly retainer or hourly rate.

On average, a 1-page article will pay anywhere from $10-$20. The more efficient you are in your writing, the more you'll make. Depending on your efficiency you could make anywhere from $20-$40/hr. You will be paid weekly via PayPal or Bi-weekly via check.

Experience writing for the web is preferred. I don't care about your education level as long as you consistently deliver high-quality professional work on-time.
