The Gawler Public Library & Friends of Gawler Library invite entries for the GAWLER SHORT STORY COMPETITION 2011.

Prizes awarded to winning entries as follows:
- JUNIOR (12 & UNDER): $100.00
- YOUTH (13-18 YEARS): $150.00
- ADULT: $200.00
- Entry open to residents of South Australia.
- All entries must be original and previously unpublished with a limit of two stories per person.
- Word Limits: Adult & Youth— 2500 words maximum; Junior—1000 words maximum.
- Entrants need to understand that illustrations carry no weight in the judging
- All entries should be typed on A4 paper and must be accompanied by a completed entry form.
- Please send 4 copies of each story entered. Email submissions will not be accepted.
- The title of each entry must appear on the story and entry form for identification purposes.
- Names and addresses should appear on entry form and not on stories entered.
- Youth and Junior section entries must be co-signed by parent, guardian or teacher.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Copyright remains with the author but the Gawler Public Library reserves the right to publish winning
- entries on the library website and in the local press.
- Authors should retain a copy of their stories, entries will not be returned.
- Receipt of entries will be acknowledged
- Winners will be notified. Winners will need to supply electronic copies for publication
- Results and winning entries will be published on the Library’s website in their original unedited form.
