Free contest, Greater Canton Writers’ Guild Fiction/ Non-fiction Contests, prize: 2 winners of $50

The Greater Canton Writers’ Guild sponsors two yearly writing competitions: The Marlene Stottsberry award for excellence in fiction and the Ken Miller award for excellence in non-fiction. These contests run from March 31st to July 31st of every year with the winners being announced and awarded at the Guild’s Anniversary dinner that takes place in September. These writing competitions are held in honor of two long-time Guild members who donated their time and talents to the Writers’ Guild. The winner of each competition gets a framed, signed certificate and a check from the Guild.

All submissions must be typed and double spaced with a 12 point font. There is a 2000 word limit. They must also be unpublished, not previously submitted and written in the past two years. One entry per person per contest. Send submissions between March 31st and July 31st with a SASE:
