We're Caring.com. We think family caregivers and their senior loved ones should be armed with at least as much information about their residential care choices as the average restaurant-goer has about his or her dining choices. We're building our directory from the ground up, and we want your help seeding it with well-written, detailed reviews.
Our company was founded and managed by people who have been caregivers in their own personal lives, and, besides our directory of eldercare services and housing, our site contains expert articles, caregiver forums, and a question and answer section.
We know that geriatric care managers, speech therapists, and other senior health experts are the most qualified to write these reviews. If you're familiar with several assisted living facilities (excluding any that have directly employed you) we'd love to pay you $15/review.
We're looking for reviews that reflect your personal experience of any facility, including personal anecdotes, observations, or details such as "I saw one of the staff comfort a distressed resident with a friendly joke" or "It seemed like a lot of the residents were just watching TV."
We're not looking for reviews full of widely available facts, like the number of rooms at the facility, since we probably already have that information in our database. Instead, we're looking for your personal opinions -- what makes this particular facility better or worse than the hundreds of other ones out there?
We can't accept reviews from current or former employees.
Reviews can be positive or negative. We want honest opinions and observations, but please keep it clean, coherent, and respectful. (See guidelines.)
We pay $15 per review via PayPal as soon as your review is approved by our community moderator.
