Libros Libertad releases a wide range of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction books reflecting Canada's incredible diversity of people and ideas, local and global, past and future.
Libros Libertad invites submissions of poetry and short fiction from Canadian youth of Greek origin. In addition to the cash prizes listed below, a selection will be made to choose 15 – 20 submissions for an anthology of Greek Canadian writings scheduled to be published in 2013. The proposed anthology will present Greek Canadian writers of all genres and ages with a view to acknowledge and appreciate the work of both established authors and new/novice/young writers.

* Be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, a full time student or an employee in Canada at the time of making the submission
* Be between 14 to 35 years of age in 2011
* Be of Greek origin/ancestry
Submission Guidelines - Poetry
12 pt, Times New Roman, single-spaced
3-7 poems, maximum 30 lines each
Hard copy: each page one side only – 8.5 X 11 paper, 1.5” margin
No entry fee
Submission Guidelines - Fiction
12 pt, Times New Roman, double-spaced, no indents, no formatting.
1-3 short stories, maximum 1500 words each.
Hard copy: each page one side only – 8.5 X 11 paper, 1.5” margin
No entry fee
