Free contest, Texas Review Press Poetry Book Contest for Mississippi poets

Texas Review Press seeks full-length poetry manuscripts by Mississippi poets who have not yet published a book of poems for the Mississippi Breakthrough Poetry Prize. Paul Ruffin will judge. There is no reading fee. All submitters must have been born in Mississippi or lived there for at least five consecutive years.

Poetry manuscripts of 48-96 pages should be sent to (replace (at) with @). Manuscripts are only accepted electronically as .doc (Word 1997-2003), .docx (Word 2007), or .rtf (Rich Text Format) attachments. Please create two cover letters for your manuscript – one with your mss. title, your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number; the other with the mss. title only. Please include an acknowledgments page reflecting
publication record of poems within the submitted manuscript.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: December 15, 2010.
