Freelance writer/blogger for HookedUp Downtown, an online magazine focused on green lifestyle and technology.
Ideal candidate:
- Able to generate exciting ideas for articles, how-to pieces, and product & travel reviews
- Witty, concise writing -- blogging experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in creating content that draws traffic and social media engagement
- Entrepreneurial spirit and outgoing personality -- unafraid to solicit the opinions of intellectual superstars
Job Requirements:
- One awesome post a day w/ pic (we’ll supply some stock photos, but you’re encouraged to use your own.)
Compensation:
We offer BONUSES for any blog post that proves to be super engaging:
Base rate will be $10 per post (500 words or less).
Bonus:
• Get 50 “likes” on fb or 50 “tweets” on twitter and double your money
• Get 100 “likes” on fb or 100 “tweets” on twitter and triple your money
Initial contract will be for one month. Successful bloggers will be extended on a month-to-month basis.

- A sample Twitter or Facebook post that would get the attention of your social network and encourage them to read your post
- A link to your LinkedIn page and resume that demonstrates social media engagement and an interest in solving environmental problems
- Links to any blogging you have done
