SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
THE WAITING ROOM is seeking original submissions in all genres with the majority of our pages going to flash fiction, cartoons, jokes, photography, essays, poetry and recipes by both published and previously unpublished individuals. Most features are between 250-1500 words, but exceptions are possible. Surprise us. Quality is our biggest criteria.
THE WAITING ROOM accepts electronic submissions only at the present time. Mailed or otherwise submitted materials will not be considered, opened or returned. Please send stories, essays, and recipes in an email attachment. RTF files are strongly preferred. Photographs and cartoons are preferred emailed in PDF format. Multiple and Simultaneous submissions are accepted.
THE WAITING ROOM Payment is $20/for stories, articles or essays - $10/poem $10/art pieces or photos, plus one contributors copy.
THE WAITING ROOM acquires first time North American Serial Rights, after which the rights revert back to the author/artist.
Current response time is 60 days or less. Please include your name and contact information, including email and phone number on every page of your submission.
