Deadline: 1 March 2011
Come January 15th, 2011, we will be accepting entries for the annual NCSU Poetry Contest. The contest is open only to residents of North Carolina. It remains one of the largest free-entry contests in the South; the contest in 2007 topped out at over 700+ (!) submissions from across the state. The winner will receive $500. The rules are unchanging through the years...
The contest’s postmark DEADLINE will be March 1st, 2011
ELIGIBILITY:
* The contest is open to all North Carolina residents except 1) tenured/tenure-track professors in the University of North Carolina system or 2) writers with a published book.
* All entries must be typed, and you should send us two copies of each poem. You may submit as many as three differrent poems. There is no limit as to length.
* Previous finalists must submit new work.
* Do NOT put your name on the poem, so it may be judged anonymously. Put your name on a cover sheet along with your contact information.
