TheShortestStories.com (TSS) is dedicated to providing the best short stories for listener enjoyment and introducing the best writers to the public and industry professionals. We welcome YOUR story submissions to be considered for broadcast on the site. These can be provided by yourself if you have a recorded version of your story (MP3) which meets TSS audio quality and narration standards. Or, we would be happy to record your story for FREE (Lead Narrator Roderic Reece)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
By submitting a story you are confirming that you are the copyright owner or an authorized agent of the owner and accept all of the terms listed below.
1) Stories should be at least 50 words, but no more than 2000 words.
2) Stories should not include sexual profanity
3) For all written short stories for recording by TheShortestStories.com, please email BurstofVerse@aol.com and cut and paste the text of the story in the body of the email with the subject line “Story Submission: Your Story Title”. Do not send emails with attachments. All emails with attachments will NOT be opened or responded to communicating that they were NOT opened.
4) For all pre-recorded short stories to be broadcast by TSS, please email BurstofVerse@aol.com with the subject line “Recorded Story Submission: Your Story Title” first, stating that you have a selection you would like considered. You will then be instructed how to send the audio file.

ATTENTION: Through January 31, 2011. TheShortestStories.com offers $60 per original story submitted and selected, and $25 for any adapted story that is in the public domain. Same rules apply (50 to 2000 words).
The following types of stories are especially wanted:
* flash fiction
* mini-mysteries
* inspirational stories
* sports stories
* adaptations of pre-1923 stories (fairy tales, fables, pulp fiction, short stories, etc.) into modern day environments. Loosely based, alternate ending, alternate perspective, and politically "corrected" is all ok! BE CREATIVE

After submitting, you will be contacted only if your story is selected for use or if we have questions.
Writers must have a website, social network account (i.e. facebook), publisher site, or retail site prior to broadcast of any of your stories if selected, where we can direct any new fans and interested industry professionals to you.
Writers take full legal responsibility for any representations that are made that are in violation of copyright law. TheShortestStories.com pursues refunds of story fees plus penalties immediately once it is learned that a writer has unlawfully represented themselves as the owner of another's work.
