JOB SUMMARY
We’re a fast-growing Internet marketing firm in Irvine with an open position for an outstanding writer to serve our expanding business. You will create compelling copy for websites, landing pages, emails, print collateral and ads, press releases, and more.
Local applicants only.
Internet access a must and the time commitment is flexible. You make their own hours but are responsible for meeting weekly goals. Experience with online research and online writing is a requirement. You are responsible for online research and writing for both short and long-form original content.
JOB DUTIES
- Researching and producing blog content
- Phone, internet and print research for data
- Work directly with Marketing Department to produce blogs for websites
- Accept direction and guidance from our Marketing Department
- Commenting on the industry in their respective markets and participating in online forums
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Social media, social networking, web advertising knowledge a must
- Interest in golf helpful but not required
- Minimum 1-2 years college level coursework completed
- Journalism Major preferred
- Ability to adjust your writing style to the context and audience
- Proven experience in writing online copy
EXPERIENCE
- MS Office proficiency
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Internet savvy, ability to maintain relationships, get research, read news, and be comfortable with social media websites and social networks
- A self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and move forward independently
- Passion for emerging online and social media technologies
- 10-15 hours per week availability
COMPENSATION
- $15- $20 per article or blog
- Minimum wage for data research
Part time / contract position
A successful intern will improve their research and writing skills, and will build a broad portfolio of online writing samples.
