The Beacon Newspapers, for older adults in the Washington and Baltimore areas, is launching a new Howard County edition. We're seeking experienced feature writers with the ability to elicit insightful quotes and colorful anecdotes for cover stories (1,000 to 1,500 words). Generally, these stories will be profiles of an older adult in the county or cover a trend or issue. We have will have some assignments but are also looking for freelancers to generate ideas. The paper publishes monthly.
