Well-established Washington, DC-based newsletter publisher seeks veteran reporter/editor to cover an event in downtown San Francisco, April 26-30. You don't need to be there all five days so long as you produce approximately six well-written stories, averaging about 500-700 words each, providing a good sense of the overall atmosphere and impact of the event. The perfect candidate has a background in aging-related issues, writes extremely well, is familiar with AP Style, is capable of quick turnaround on assignments, is self-motivated, well disciplined, and anxious to get started. If you think you've got what it takes, respond with a coherent cover letter and no more than three writing samples. The gig pays a flat $1,000.

Compensation: One-time payment of $1,000 for the entire assignment.

Telecommuting is ok.
