Freelance writing, ApartmentList.com, pays $15-$30 per guide

Who we are:

• We’re a San Francisco based start-up company launching a brand new, social media integrated apartment search engine (www.ApartmentList.com) that we hope will revolutionize the online apartment hunt.

What we want:

• In an effort to help our users in their search for the perfect apartment, we’re creating original apartment-hunting guides tailored to each of our 5,000+ cities.
• We want insider tips and advice that can’t be found anywhere else, which means that in addition to a bit of preliminary online research, you’ll be calling local apartment brokers and/or realtors to get the real skinny (don’t worry, we have a list of questions to get you started).
• Just because we’re in the seemingly impersonal apartment biz, doesn’t mean we’re vacant of all humor (though, admittedly, that joke was rather poorly done). This is a creative writing gig and we’re looking for writers who can bring a fun, human, & dare-we-say Groupon-y flair to our City Guides. Voice is needed and one-liners are more than welcome.

The Details:

• Compensation will be per guide and will range from $15-30 depending on length. Length will be determined by city population and will range from 400 words to 1000 words.
• You should be prepared to spend 2-3 hours on each guide, and we’re looking for individuals who can commit between 10-20 hours per week, or a minimum of 5 guides.
• Huge opportunity for continued work. If we like what you’re pumping out, more cities will be handed your way. And we have thousands to divvy up.
• Writers will be paid via PayPal at the end of each month (we’ll pick up the fees).
