Guidelines for Nonfiction
Lightspeed publishes four pieces of nonfiction in each issue. All nonfiction is solicited in-house, but if you would like to write nonfiction for Lightspeed, use our Contact Us form to email nonfiction editor Esther Inglis-Arkell; include a cover letter explaining who you are, and list your nonfiction publication credits, your areas of expertise, and the types of articles you can and/or are interested in writing. We will get back to you if we are interested in commissioning an article from you. Nonfiction pays $75 for articles of 700‑1000 words.
