An award-winning business search engine is looking for English mother-tongue freelance writers to produce original, informative business-related articles on an ongoing basis for its online news desk. This opportunity can evolve into a long-term assignment for the right writers. Your byline and bio will appear on your published articles.
How will we work together?
US: The editor provides you with an article topic and outline, including word count (minimum 300) and, where possible, supporting research and content to work from. You rework and add to the content, contributing new key information. We cover news on business, energy, healthcare, environment, science, technology, economy, finance and many other current world topics.
YOU: You are an English mother-tongue freelance writer who knows how to produce valuable content for international business professionals. Your writing style is clear and factual. You pay attention to detail and have strong grammar and spelling skills. You know how to use key statistics to make your articles credible, and you diligently check facts and data. You are open to working with us on a regular basis, producing several articles per week.
Project Overview
• You will be writing in English for an international B2B audience
• Your byline and bio will appear on all of your published articles
• Articles are minimum 300 words in length (title, sub title, body text); sector snapshots are 200 words in length
• Your content ideas and article suggestions are welcome
• Deadlines to be agreed upon between the writer & the editor
• Topics: world current news, business (trends across major sectors like energy, environment, technology, science, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer retail, oil & gas and many others), economy (country focused) and finance (investing, money, contract wins, M&A, company financials)
• Your articles will appear on a dedicated News web page; the text will be followed by a ‘Related Research’ category that highlights research reports sold by the search engine
