The International Fine Print Dealers Association recognizes excellence in research, scholarship, and the discussion of new ideas in the field of fine prints with the annual IFPDA Book Award. The award includes a prize of $2,000 and is announced in November during the annual IFPDA Print Fair.
The competition is open to works published during the previous year discussing any aspect of printmaking from its beginnings to the present day.
GUIDELINES:
- Unpublished works are not eligible for consideration.
- Books, exhibition catalogues, or articles published during the previous year are eligible for consideration.
- The jury reserves the right not to make an award if the submissions received fail to meet the jury’s standards.
- The decision of the jury is final.
Review of submissions will be made by a jury composed of experts in the areas of study that are most appropriate for the submissions received. The jury will evaluate each submission on the basis of it presentation of fresh ideas, contribution of original research and/or creative interpretation of prior scholarship.

- IFPDA Book Award Submission Sheet
- Submissions will not be returned
- Applicants will receive confirmation by email that their submission has been received
