Free workshop: Somerville Arts Council Creative Writing Workshop with Lenore Myka (Somerville Public Library, MA)

Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never written creatively but always thought it would be interesting to try your hand at story-telling, this 3-part seminar is for you.

Led by Somerville Arts Council Grant Recipient, Lenore Myka, each of these fun and relaxed sessions will begin with a discussion of a specific element of fiction writing, followed by writing exercises intended to stimulate ideas.

Participants may attend any or all of the workshops. Writers of poetry, memoir, and creative non-fiction are also welcome.

ABOUT LENORE: Lenore's fiction was selected as one of the 100 Distinguished Stories of 2008 by The Best American Short Stories of 2008 and has appeared in The Massachusetts Review, H.O.W. Journal, Upstreet Magazine, Talking River Review, and the anthology Further Fenway Fiction. She has been a fiction resident at the Millay Colony for the Arts and in 2010 was awarded the Fiction Fellowship at the Writers' Room of Boston, and was a recipient of SAC grant in 2004. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College.
