Amour Creole Magazine is looking for a travel story to publish in our fall issue. We are open to any travel tale as long as the writing is colorful and draws readers from the first word to the last. We want the story to paint a vivid and magical portrait of the scene.
We will pay $40 for an accepted piece and the article will provide the writer a byline and bio in an international magazine.
Word count can be anywhere from 600 to 1,500 words. We will be accepting submissions from now until June 30 and will select one story to publish. Please email stories to the craig's list address provided.
The article must also include a sidebox with 2-3 recommendations from the city, town, village, country featured ... whether a typical native dish, an historic family-owned hotel, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, an eccentric artist's gallery... also feel free to name the chef of the restaurant or the flamboyant artist...
The recommendations don't need to be mentioned in the actual story, in fact, if the story takes place in the middle of a jungle, that's fine, just offer some sort of relevent recommendations (even loosely relevent).
