Freelance writing, new automotive promotional magazine (West Coast Media Group), pays $0.20 per word (Canada)

The West Coast Media Group is looking for a team of energetic, detail oriented and professional writers for an automotive promotional magazine set to release in the Greater Vancouver region for late September 2011.

The magazine will feature the latest in the automotive industry, including rally sports racing, and focus on specific brands such as Mitsubishi. The magazine will also focus heavily on what the local automotive scene looks like through the eyes of dealers, racers, and local automotive enthusiasts. Other articles may include highlights on what is happening in the community beyond the automotive industry, so a diverse writing background is welcomed.

Articles will range from 250-800 words, and we will require a wide range and number of articles.

Writers must be/have:

- Good quality writing experience and published work;
- Excellent communications skills;
- Interview experience;
- Positive attitude;
- Self directing/disciplined;
- Ability to work under deadlines;
- Be living in the Greater Vancouver region;
- Have access to reliable transportation.

Writers will be compensated on contract by a per-word basis. Compensation to be negotiated based on experience and previous work. Special assignments may seek further compensation. This is an ongoing project and may lead to further contracts or paid positions based on the quality of work provided.
