Freelance writing, trade publisher, will pay $5,000 for general book on grief/ loss (anywhere)

Trade publisher seeks an author of a general book on grief as a lifelong process rather than something to be overcome in "stages." The book will include methods of coping with grief like cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, group therapy, and alternative therapies like energy healing, meditation, and hypnosis, and address the different types of loss (loss of pregnancy, infant, child, sibling, parent, friend, spouse, pet, etc.).

The book should also have some treatment given to traumatic or acute grief that requires more serious mental health care.

The deadline for this manuscript is mid-October, and is a work-for-hire project. Deadline and compensation are non-negotiable.

Advanced degree in psychology and/or counseling required; extensive experience in grief and bereavement counseling preferred. Please note that applicants who do not possess this experience or education will not be considered. If you think you are a good match for this project, please send an email with your qualifications.
