Freelance writing, Modern Times Magazine, Metro Phoenix-based, topics: local stories/ general, pays $0.03 per word

Modern Times Magazine and ModernTimesMagazine.com is seeking freelance writers who are able to write clear, crisp, funny and serious news, commentaries and in-depth articles for a web and print publication. Modern Times Magazine and ModernTimesMagazine.com is a new web and print magazine that is breaking new ground with the fearlessness to be a great place to read not only news, commentary, and other forms of traditional American journalism along with cutting-edge fiction.

SALARY: Freelance assignments are paid at 3 cents per word. Most individual articles cannot exceed 750 words. However, some serial article assignments are part of our content.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The ability and will to work for little pay but extreme reward. Experience and training are a plus but not necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pitch articles to Modern Times Magazine and ModernTimesMagazine.com. Upon acceptance of the pitch, a due date will be agreed upon.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of interview and reporting process, research, AP style.
