Chicago Art Magazine is breaking into new territory by launching a new magazine about the local technology industry. Although we currently have some staff writers, from this week (11/22), until Jan of 2011, we'll need some local writers to come on during the holiday season to generate some very quick, blog-style content. Most posts are assigned, but pitches are welcome, especially now. This month, we’re particularly interested in showcasing tech startups, angel investors and “unpacking” the venture capital situation on a local level.
We’re looking for writers who are already intimately versed in the local tech community, have a good working knowledge of tech startups, etc. We’re also interested in the social side of things- the open source/hacking community, robotics hobbyist etc.
When you write to inquire, please send a writing sample, and also include an email telling us who you are how you’re involved in the Chicago tech scene. (Please, local applicants only). You can also just follow us on Twitter until we launch, then decide if you want to write for us down the line, after this ad is no longer active -- http://twitter.com/chitechindustry .
