Freelance writing, high-tech firm, pays up to $0.15 per word (telecommute - Montreal)

We're a quickly growing high-tech firm specializing in hosted call center solutions. We're looking for an energetic blogger, copywriter and content guru to join our team on a part-time basis. Initially, the compensation will be according to the content created: we're offering up to $0.15 a word (depending on the complexity of the project) with a target of 800 words per week. Some work may require an hourly or per-project rate, a possibility which we'll discuss with the successful candidate. Our company experiences very low turnover because everyone's contribution is highly valued -- we're all about passion, learning and fun! Really, we swear. We're looking to invest in a long-term relationship which may eventually evolve into full-time, salaried work. Occasional in-person meetings in Montreal may be required.

What you'd be doing:

- Creating content for our blog, white papers and website
- Interacting with blogs and keeping track of other content in our sector
- Drafting press releases and managing distribution
- Consulting on content strategies

What we're looking for in a candidate:

- An excellent handle on the English language (French an asset)
- Experience dealing with style guides and brand standards

- A good sense of humour
