Write from Home for a major internet property. Do you know what recipes and restaurant are hot, and what cafe is not? Do you tell your friends the hottest new beauty tip or where to get the best designer handmade jewelry? Do you hit the hot spots before the hipsters? If so, then you are the type of person we want to write for us.

A major Internet property is in need of writers who are savvy, educated, street-smart, and intimately familiar with New York City. You must live in the New York area and have a deep understanding of what is going on in New York in regards to restaurants, shops, cafes, spas, and other business and services in the lifestyle, adventure and entertainment industries.

Each week we will provide you with the content concept and background information, and you will use that information to write smart, playful and compelling promotional reviews.

Writers will be paid up to $25 per article and will produce 3 to 5 write-ups per week. Principles only. Recruiters please don't contact this job posting.

Responsibilities:

-From the information we provide, write informative, compelling and smart 250-word promotional reviews/write-ups that read like an insider’s account of a business or service.
-Compose and deliver five promotional write-ups each week.
-Ensure write-ups are accurate and support the promotion as well as the business or service.
-Be available for the full run of the project - from February through May and possibly further.
-Be among the first writers to work on this new site.

Qualifications:

-Be able to write in a smart, compelling, conversational, engaging, and playful manner.
-Possess a street-savvy understanding of what is hot and happening in your city.
-Must have at least two years experience writing in a professional capacity.
-Excellent writing and editing skills and a thorough understanding of English grammar.
-Able to accept feedback and guidance.
-Be able and willing to write in an established voice/tone and format.
-Able to work from home.
