I need to have a book translated from Spanish into English. The book discusses how language is used in science and specifically applies language to biology. The text uses equations and technical/scientific terms, and describes the author's philosophies. The book is called, Biology & Language, by JH Woodger. He actually wrote the book in English, and years later updated it for a Spanish translation. I am trying to capture the updated information - so you won't have to translate the whole book, only about 50 pages or so.
The ideal candidate will speak Spanish and English natively, and have some exposure to scientific literature. Obviously, it will be very helpful to the translation if you can actually make sense of the author's points.
The project is part-time, you are free to work on your own schedule. I plan on paying $12/page (this should roughly be equal to about $12/hour). If you are doing a good job and it is taking you much longer than this, we can renegotiate the pay to make it fair.
I'm hoping to have this work completed by sometime mid-March, so if you can work 10+ hours a week that should do it!
Please respond to this ad with a little background on yourself and a writing sample. I look forward to hearing from you!
