Self-publishing company is in search of 1 - 5 articles per month related to writing, editing, social networking, author promotions, traditional and self-publishing news, in-house book reviews, and publishing technology.

CJM Books is a self-publishing company providing aspiring authors and creators customized services and resources for every stage of the writing and publishing process.

All articles submitted should be no more than 750 words, clear, concise, optimized for industry-related search engine keywords, and error free. We want to make our blog topics cutting-edge, entertaining, informative, and most importantly...inviting. The reader should be able to read the headline on Twitter, click to the article, be so intrigued that he or she clicks to the company's main site, and decides to self-publish with the help of our services. This is only possible with a compelling, slightly controversial (maybe), and eye-opening take on a relevant topic. It rests on your shoulders.

We will be happy to provide topic ideas, leads, and references upon request, but we won't write the article for you. Work can be done from home, and there are no imposed deadlines other than the potential timeliness of the topic. The more articles the better, but we have only a limited monthly budget and so some articles may not be published right away or at all. Therefore, payment is only sent after article is scheduled to be published on the blog. Articles will be either published once non-exclusively, or once exclusively and will remain discoverable on the site even in the archives behind the main page. Author will retain all rights to non-exclusive articles, but exclusive articles will become the property of the publishing company's blog and be paid a higher price. Author may request the purchase of exclusive or non-exclusive rights, however exclusive rights purchases will be rare. We reserve the right to edit articles for length, content, and correctness. PLEASE NOTE: Any non-original or plagiarized content will be immediately rejected and whenever possible the offended party will notified. Ethics is a premier priority. If scheduled for publication, each article will be paid on a 5 cents per words rate, or higher for exclusive purchases.

Ready to submit?

Please paste each article into body of its own email (no attachments, and no more than 750 words per article) with all of the following information included: Name (for checks to be payable), physical address, phone number(s), email address, and brief biography (only once if submitting more than one article). Please include a byline if different than name. You will be notified upon receipt of submission, and then notified again upon acceptance with instructions regarding sale and compensation. Authors of articles to be saved for future publication will be notified upon acceptance and again later regarding sale and compensation. Rejected materials will not be returned. Decisions may take up to six or eight weeks. If you have not heard back from us after two months from receipt of submission please follow up with us promptly.
