Freelance writing, The Spirit Newspaper, pays $50 per assignment (river ward communities, Philadelphia)

We are currently looking to add to our pool of freelance writers. The Spirit is a free weekly community newspaper serving the river wards (Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Kensington, Port Richmond and Bridesburg). We cover local events and meetings and also handle human interest stories. The assignment includes taking photos at the events, but you do not need extensive photography experience.

We are looking for local community writers/residents of the above named communities to fill the freelance writing slots. If interested, email info@spiritnewspapers.com with your background and experience and describe your familiarity with these communities. Payment is $50 per assignment.
