Freelance writing, Penascola Magazine, pays $0.10-$0.12 per word

If you do not have a specific query topic, please send a resume and three clips via email and you will be given story assignments if your writing style is acceptable. You do not have to be locally- or regionally-located to write for us.

Pensacola Magazine

Pensacola Magazine is your bay area magazine. It covers anything and everything good happening in Pensacola, including local history, restaurants, fashion, and advice on health, home and garden, your golf game, and travel.

We accept queries for features, high-profile interviews and all departmental stories (i.e. Home & Garden, Books, Fashion, History, The Golden Years, etc.). We occasionally print fiction.

The length will be determined after the topic has been approved and the assignment given. We pay .10¢ per word for departmental pieces and .12¢ for features. We pay $.15 for research-heavy pieces. We will reply within 2 months of submissions and pay within 2 months of the publication date. $7.00 per photo.
