Freelance job, movie-related commentary writer, payment: $60 per project

Are you passionate about the movie watching experience and love writing?

We are looking to hire a writer on a short-term project basis to produce some movie-related commentary.

Each project should take 4-6 hours, focus on one film which we will specify, and will pay $60. There will be multiple projects in the short-term, with the potential for much more work or permanent employment based on your performance and our needs.

If you're interested, don't bother with a resume or a big batch of writing samples. Instead, we'll evaluate you based on the following task:

1. Pick one of these four movies: Beetlejuice / Reality Bites / Swingers / Thelma and Louise. Then, write a 50-75 word pitch on why someone should watch the movie. Maybe they've seen it before, maybe they haven't. Make the pitch fun, funny, interesting, cheeky, thought-provoking... or all of the above if you can. Make the movie seem *un-missable*.

2. Write a 50-75 word pitch on yourself! Tell us whatever you think we need to know.

We'll be able to figure out if you're a good match for this project based on your responses.

Location: anywhere / remote

Compensation: $60 per project (4-6 hours)

Telecommuting is ok.
