Freelance writing, topic: technology, pays $20+ per article

Help Desk Geek is looking for 1 or 2 part-time geeky tech writers to join our team. More specifically, we're looking for writers capable of coming up with articles that provide troubleshooting tips and solutions to common or advanced problems related to Windows Server 2003/2008, Server Apps (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc), Virtualization, Networking, IT Administration, Windows 7, Vista, XP, MS Office, Printing and other similar help desk topics.

Preferably, I'm looking for people who work in IT or have IT experience. If you've worked at the Help Desk at your school, company, etc, that is highly desired. Most importantly, we are looking for articles that help readers solve a problem.

REQUIREMENTS:

* You must be a geek at heart and a proficent troubleshooter.
* You must be able to write articles that are easy to understand.
* You must be have excellent English grammar skills. We’d prefer people who grew up with English as their primary language. Do NOT apply if your English is not top-notch.
* You must be able to take a screenshot in crystal-clear PNG format.
* You must be able to follow our style guide.
* You must be able to come up with ideas on your own, and take suggestions like a pro.
* You must have a strong work ethic and be available long term. I need someone who writes consistently and is not going to quit after 3 months.
* You must be willing to submit one short article as a writing sample.

PAYMENT

Writers will be paid on a monthly basis, $20 per article. If your article does well on a social networking site, you will receive an incentive payment of $15.

Payment can be made via Paypal or check, your choice.

* Your name and location. We'd prefer US-based, but that's not a requirement.
