International Web publisher MediaTier-Greentree Ltd. is currently seeking professional English-language writers with backgrounds in website building to fill paid contract positions from May 1, 2011, to June 15, 2011. The company is willing to pay $.30 per word (up to $300 per article) to the right individuals.
MediaTier-Greentree also plans to hire a part-time freelance contributor under extended contract for the project, and temporary reviewers will be considered for this long-term position first. However, due to the time-sensitive nature of the project only those who meet the following requirements need apply:
Requirements:
- Must have intimate experience using at least one of the following Web hosting providers’ site-building tools to create a website: iPage, FatCow, JustHost, ixWebHosting, HostPapa, Host Monster, Blue Host, GoDaddy, 1&1. Intimate experience using more than one of these companies’ services and tools a plus.
- Must have at least a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing or related field.
- Must have 2+ years paid writing experience for a print or online publisher.
- Must have a working knowledge of current best SEO practices, including keyword stuffing and intra-site linking.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines for assigned projects.
- Must be highly familiar with Internet technology and terminology.
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of AP Style a plus.
Responsibilities:
Once contracted reviewers will be responsible for writing 700- to 1,000-word articles to strict deadline as assigned.
